A Will is your legacy. It is the passing of the baton and not something to be taken lightly or ignored. Many times unskilled persons end up drafting wills for family or friends and they have no idea of what the tax or cash outflow implications are. The Master’s office is insisting that a qualified person be appointed as the Executor of a Will and, when there is no skilled person appointed, the Master may insist that a skilled Executor be hired by the unskilled Executor.
As this is, in essence, your FINAL WORDS to this world and can either continue to build wealth for generations to come or lead to the loss of wealth acquired and accumulated, often through many years of sacrifice, it is important that a correctly drafted Will is given the priority and responsibility it deserves.
